Wings Sakhi

As a pioneer in travel solutions, Wings launched Wings Sakhi, a cab service for women driven by women. Safety and empowerment are of paramount importance to women today. A Woman-chauffeured radio cab is our initiative towards providing safe transport solutions for women commuters, and towards women's empowerment.

Wings Sakhi cabs are equipped with a panic button, speed dial and an ICE number which a woman can use if is she is in danger while travelling in our cab. Our 24X7 vigilance squad manned by ex-army personnel will be alerted on raising the alarm and will be pressed into immediate action. We plan to launch this service in Tier II and metro cities and would urge women drivers to come forward and help us in the cause of making women safe.

Wings Sakhi was launched at the hands of renowned activist Professor Geeta Raybagkar, in late February 2015. To make this program come true, Wings has roped in Professor Raybagkar as chief mentor of the Wings Sakhi program specially designed to train as many women as possible in driving techniques and customer satisfaction to make them independent and confident. They will also be trained in self defence. It is our promise to bring safe, reliable and professional transport to women - driven by women.
